Lakeland – Staff Canteen

Lakeland has beautiful products and they also have lovely working environments too. Not satisfied with their staff canteen arrangements Lakeland looked for a “re-design of their canteen and rest area”.

After initial consultation we prepared a brief and initial sketch schemes, further development meetings confirmed finish options, we then provided samples, mood boards and clarified final desired appearances.

The canteen provides facilities for the staff of the distribution site and we had to allow for business continuation of these facilities. We installed a temporary canteen whilst the new canteen was being developed.

We built a temp. canteen including the construction of stud walling, installation of plumbed in sinks, dishwashers, water fountains, etc.

Once temporary kitchens and alternative services were set up we were then able to cordon off the site area and undertook controlled demolitions.

Upgraded canteen facilities were installed. This included for special hygienic “Silestone” solid surface worktops, Amtico Farmhouse Oak flooring, bespoke manufactured bench / table seating, bespoke hanging ceiling raft including another special for Lakeland the “Lakeland lighting chandelier”. The engraved chandelier sits proudly centrally within the ceiling raft complementing the other LED lighting elements and uplifting the stainless splash backs and highlighting the quarts twinkles in the work surfaces.

Zip appliances give instant boiling or chilled water along with other needed appliances: 3 Larder fridges, 4 microwaves, stainless steel milk dispensers, dishwashers, etc.

Upon completion Lakeland generously donated the temporary kitchen to a local sporting club.

We are proud to have supplied a better equipped canteen and rest area that has improved flow and facilities and accommodates greater seating numbers.
