howe projects competently organises a wide range of shopfitting and shop refurbishment projects. Many projects undertaken are for well-known international high street retailers, although we also work for independent retailers and private individuals.

Our main line of business is to provide shops and office fit out solutions. We work nationally. We are based in the North West of England. As principal contractor we are experienced with managing fit outs that may require:

• sprinkler systems
• air conditioning, ventilation, heating
• plumbing installations, disposal systems
• electrical installations, power and lighting, emergency lighting, music
• intruder/fire alarms, CCTV, tagging systems (anti-theft)
• flooring, screeding, tiles, carpet, vinyl
• partitions, door sets, ceilings, dry lining
• decoration, plastering, rendering
• structural building works, diamond core drilling
• demolitions, site clearance, strip out to shell
• lift/hoist works
• hoardings, shop fronts, roller shutters, signage
• fire protection, asbestos management
• statutory, planning/building control applications etc

We predominately work with full drawings, specifications and visuals sent through from architects or project managers and we fit out to their specific requirements.

In other cases an individual may wish an outlet to be fitted out to their ideas, sometimes not even drawn out. In some cases we may deal with a client who has had no previous experience in fit-outs and may require a little more partnering or advising of the shop fitting process. contact

Contact is essential to the success for clients. From the very start of a job we insist upon open and easy access to discuss with our staff any issues regarding the works. We operate with our clients in a friendly and relaxed manner, which allows solutions to be developed, hurdles to be overcome and hopes realised.

meetings

Meeting with clients allows briefs to be developed to turn ideas into a set of comprehensive work solutions. These need to be agreed by all parties. This may include aspects such as: outlet down-times, shop fitting working times (day/night), duration for the works, planning applications, designs / drawing works, and of course the job costings.

costings

Costings need to be comprehensive and easily understood by all involved. Clients need to compare 'like with like' quotes from various competitor companies. We stress the importance of comparing 'apples with apples'. We will give clear and accurate costings for clients. To produce accurate costings, we require construction specifications and drawings.

drawings

The client can supply drawings or howe projects can produce construction drawings on their behalf. Drawings must be of a construction quality. We have the knowledge and competency in design and drafting to produce drawings for clients. howe projects drawings can be produced to CAD standard for those who require this service. We will undertake site surveys to check drawings, take measurements and take digital photography so that quality drawings can be produced. Drawings are charged for to those who commission them and costs will be discussed with the client.

project management

Project management is the key to stress-free shopfitting works (for the client at least). howe projects have extensive project management experience and use this to liaise with all trades and specialists on the customer's behalf to provide a smooth flowing shop fit. The management ability extends to planning applications, design drawing production, Construction Design Management, building control, building warrant (Scotland), and Health and Safety Management. Strong Health and Safety Management aims to reduce the risks to clients, staff, sub contractors and the general public and is a skill howe projects are proud of. howe projects will produce costings, programmes, schedule of works including timeframes for each trade's or specialist's works to be completed and final completion dates. At completion there will be a clear 'hand-over' to the client. This will go through the job specification and the actual job done. Any snaggings will be identified and will be completed to the client's satisfaction.
